Modern Slopeside Hideaway: The Art of Invisible Lighting
Join AKLD and Luminii for a collaborative discussion exploring the lighting design and partnership between lighting designer and manufacturer that brought the vision of the Modern Slopeside Hideaway to life.
Rooted in restraint, precision, and a deep connection to its mountain setting, the project demonstrates how lighting can elevate architecture without competing with it. Nearly all illumination is seamlessly integrated into the architecture, allowing the surrounding landscape and exterior views to remain the focus.
The discussion will explore the collaboration between AKLD and Luminii, including extensive 3D-printed mockups used to refine integration and performance, as well as an innovative remote DMX control approach that delivers exceptional flexibility while reducing infrastructure, wiring, and installation requirements.
Discover how thoughtful collaboration, technical innovation, and precision detailing make invisible lighting an essential part of the architectural experience.
