Lightovation’s Design + Build Day to Focus on Hospitality Design

Dallas Market Center will host Lightovation, January 6-9, 2027, with its popular Design + Build Day for trade professionals on January 5, preceding the largest residential lighting show in North America.
Design + Build Day provides CEU-accredited education, tours, multi-disciplinary networking and other programming for a range of professionals within Lightovation’s 1 million square feet of interior and exterior lighting resources. The January 2027 edition will have a hospitality design focus in partnership with INTERIOR DESIGN magazine and involve the publication’s editorial staff and representatives from firms on its Hospitality Giants list. Architects, specifiers, interior designers and others involved in the illumination of built environments will find value in the day’s content.
Educational opportunities will continue during Lightovation, including a CEU-accredited guided tour of the Immersive Experience that premiered at the September 2026 ArchLIGHT Summit. This activation explores the art and science of light in the context of two simulated spaces representing healthcare and office settings.
Additional sessions at Lightovation will be coordinated with the National Kitchen & Bath Association, highlighting the most important trends in these lucrative residential rooms.
While all categories of home and hospitality lighting are represented at Lightovation, the January edition of Lightovation is always the premier event for the introduction of new decorative lighting products, including many brands that are only shown in Dallas.

Dallas Market Center is the busiest open-daily design center in the country and serves as the headquarters for the American Lighting Association and the American Society of Interior Designers Texas Chapter. Between Lightovation shows, which occur each January and June, DMC provides a complimentary Lighting Concierge service to enable access to many exhibitor showrooms on a project basis.
The June 2027 edition of Lightovation will take place during Lighting Week at Dallas Market Center, which will also include the seventh annual ArchLIGHT Summit and the 2027 DALI North America Summit. Lighting One will also host its convention that week in Dallas.
