Carla Bukalski is the Principal of Strategy & Operations at Reed Burkett Lighting Design (RBLD). With a passion for blending technical precision and creative innovation, she brings a unique perspective to lighting design and business strategy. Her work is influenced by a deep understanding of both the art and science of lighting.

With over 30+ years in the lighting industry, Carla’s experience spans electrical engineering, lighting design, and manufacturing. Beginning her career in Engineering and Lighting Design, she transitioned to the manufacturing sector a dozen years in and held key roles in sales, marketing, and product development. In 2023, she earned her MBA, further enhancing her strategic leadership. She now leverages her diverse experience to drive operational excellence and growth at RBLD.

A recognized leader in the field, Carla is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences on lighting and design. She has held leadership roles within the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) and the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD), serving on the IES Board of Directors and as Co-Chair of the IALD LIRC Steering Committee. Her dedication to advancing the industry has earned her multiple awards, including the IES Distinguished Service Award and the Presidential Award.
