Jim Levy has been deeply involved in the lighting industry for over 36 years. He has owned Up-Light Electrical Engineering, Inc. for the past 20 years, where he performs full-service electrical, lighting and control design for various Clients and projects.

Jim has had many opportunities to gain valuable experience in many aspects of the lighting industry.

From his early start in theatrical lighting. He has also served as an energy efficiency expert for the State of Utah and a large electric Utility Company. Lastly, he has also enjoyed many years as a specification sales representative at the agency level.

Jim Levy has recently enjoyed serving as the IES District 5 Chair in the West. Other IES duties include IES District 5 Vice Chair, Section level Vice President, Membership Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, etc.  for Orange County, CA, Salt Lake City, UT, & Sacramento, CA. Sections.
