Three separate lobbies were renovated in the corporate office building. The centerpiece is the entrance lobby, where a suspended ceiling is comprised of 1,500 aluminum pieces woven together to represent the lattice-work look of pergola lighting. Due to the limited budget, two types of indirect lights were selected. Tape light at 5300K was installed across the entire ceiling; 2700K lights were used along the periphery. Five scenes were created by changing the illuminance and percentage that the light is on and off. In order to create a natural transition, each scene changes over the course of 30 minutes. Downlights were installed in three rows from the inner wall side, and used as the base light that drops through the gaps in the aluminum pieces. They are turned on after sunset, creating a “light carpet” along the wall.
Elsewhere, the elevator lobby includes tunable white LED lines, while the sub entrance lobby uses a combination of square grids with indirect LED lines on the perimeter supplemented by downlights at their intersections.
