Daniel Rogers

Daniel is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University Architectural Engineering program with over 27 years of experience in the lighting industry as specifier, manufacturer, sales rep, teacher, and consultant. He currently serves as ICF Lighting Technical Lead for ENERGY STAR specification development, providing technical expertise to U.S. EPA on lamp and luminaire product design, efficiency metrics, and test procedures. Since joining ICF in 2007, Daniel has also contributed to projects for Natural Resources Canada, USAID, Con Edison, PECO, NYSERDA, Energy Trust of Oregon, the DesignLights Consortium™, and multiple other North American utilities.

Daniel is Lighting Certified by the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions (NCQLP), chairs the NCQLP Examination Committee, and is a U.S. Green Building Council LEED Accredited Professional. He is an active member of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) having served on multiple Section and Society committees and is the author of the IES seminar “Lighting Calculation Terms and Methods” as well as IES Technical Memorandum #1, “The Five Lighting Metrics.” Finally, Daniel is an Instructor at the New York School of Interior Design and Adjunct Professor at Kean University.
