The Illuminating Engineering Society shall hold copyright for all material, text, photographs and illustrations prepared by committee members and offered for inclusion in a publication, unless otherwise indicated in writing by the contributor of the material at the time it is offered.

Works in the public domain are those that are never protected by copyright (like facts or discoveries) or works whose term of protection has ended either because it expired or the owner did not satisfy a previously required formality. Images generated by government facilities or US images over 95 years old may qualify.

Please provide as much information as possible. Include original URL, publication source (with page numbers), date found, and associated designers or manufacturers whenever possible.

The IES will acquire approved iStock and Getty Image files on behalf of technical committees prior to typeset.

We request permission to license the above material in Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) Standards documents, any related educational programs, and in future revisions of IES Standards. The rights we are seeking include commercial reproduction in all forms and media, including electronic media. Appropriate credit will be given. Please provide original files of at least 300dpi or higher.
