The California Lighting Technology Center at UC Davis is exploring how the color spectra impacts human alertness, mood and stress in “The Color Lab.” Using commercially available color-tuning lighting technologies, the newly established Lab sets out to answer the common question: which light colors will optimize spaces for occupant wellness? Available to all UC Davis partners and researchers interested in learning more, the Lab is supported by Toyota-Boshoku America. Partners from The Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing and the College of Biological Sciences at UC Davis are already collaborating with the Lab team, including George (Ron) Mangun, Sreenivasan Meyyappan, Michael Siminovitch and Jae Yong Suk.
