The IES’ New York City Section has opened its 2024 program for entries through January 12, 2024. Recognizing outstanding lighting design completed in the last two years by New York-based designers with projects around the world, or global designers with projects located in New York City, the Lumen Awards are split into three categories. The Lumen Award of Excellence is the highest level of achievement within the program and is awarded to permanent architectural applications; the Lumen Award of Merit celebrates meritorious achievement for permanent architectural applications; and Lumen Citations provide special recognition for either permanent or temporary installations.
