B-K Lighting/TEKA Illumination and The Lighting Practice will host a bus tour of three local projects at the conclusion of the first day of the trade show and conference. The tour is scheduled for Tuesday, May 9, 6:00-7:30 p.m. and will depart from the Broad Street Entrance of the Pennsylvania Convention Center. TLP designed each of the projects using products from B-K. Tour stops include:
Park Towne Place Premier Apartment Homes. This mid-century landmark residential community sits adjacent to Philadelphia’s Benjamin Franklin Parkway. TLP designed an interior lighting system for all public amenities areas, as well as the community’s exterior hardscape and landscape. To illuminate the pool deck, surrounding tree grove and signature sculpture, LED fixtures were chosen for their range of lumen output, optical distribution and variety of mounting options.
LDS Philadelphia Temple. The design of the first LDS Temple built in Pennsylvania was inspired by the neighboring historic buildings that line the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. All interior and exterior lighting systems—including façade and landscape illumination—were carefully selected to create a seamless visual experience.
The Logan Philadelphia. The former Four Seasons is now The Logan, a modern hotel that enhances the guest experience from the lobby to the rooftop bar. The 100 percent LED lighting system exemplifies this high-end, contemporary remodel. While the lighting system is consistent throughout the hotel, customized vignettes provide guests with unique experiences. Strategically placed fixtures provided the dimming flexibility needed to enhance the hotel’s finishes.
The final tour destination is the Logan Rooftop Lounge for a reception hosted by B-K Lighting. Alfred Borden, principal and founder of The Lighting Practice, will narrate a visual tour of landmarks lit with B-K Lighting fixtures along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
