Lutron’s PRISMATIC Encourages Experimentation In Iconic Locations

October 3, 2022

Lutron Electronics invites members of the architecture and design community to experience light through PRISMATIC—A Lutron By Design Experience. The pop-up installation has been travelling through Europe, making stops at locations of cultural significance such as The Eiffel Tower, The Tate Modern Art Museum and Palacio De Los Duques Gran Meliá, and enables designers to experiment with illumination through a dichroic cube and the use of Lutron Athena controls.

Stitching together elevated modern design with historic spaces, the hand-built cube allows for a play of light and shadow, as well as reflection and translucency, as a new lens through which the iconic surroundings can be viewed. At each of the stops, designers are able to test out the technology and “paint” with light. Participants can change color temperature, adjust light intensity, add layers and even save the scenes they create in the Lutron Lighting Designer App.
