NEMA’s Lighting Systems Shipments Index, a measure of demand for lighting equipment, decreased 0.8 percent quarter-to-quarter while posting a 0.6 percent increase year-over-year during 2016 Q1. Fixtures, and emergency lighting, components of the index, gained ground on a year-over-year basis, while ballast, miniature lamp, and large lamp, components recorded year-over-year declines.
