Founder of Auerbach Pollock Friedlander/Auerbach Glasow, S. Leonard Auerbach, has assumed Emeritus status after more than 50 years of practice as a lighting designer and theater consultant. Since the firm’s beginning in 1972 it has collaborated with renowned architects, design professionals, arts institutions, professional repertory theaters, concert halls, performing arts educational facilities, planetariums and more under Auerbach’s leadership. Auerbach himself has helped design custom light fixtures, optics and lighting control systems while being an active member with numerous organizations such as AIA, IALD, IES, International Society of the Performing Arts and the United States Institute of Theatre Technology. Additionally, he initiated the Theatre Architecture Studio at Carnegie Mellon University College of Fine Arts. As Emeritus, Auerbach will contribute to special projects as needed.
With this change, the firm welcomed Brad Kisicki and Patrick McCue to the existing group of co-owners.
