Oculus Light Studio used changes in color temperature to guide guests through the ocean’s surface into the depths of the sea and earn an IES Illumination Award of Merit.

The illusion of depth is achieved with 14,000K sources providing a shaft of “sunlight” on foreground rockwork, contrasted by 5000K sources for the middle zone and minimal lighting on the back wall.

Reproduction sconces complement the theme of the historic train station location. Concealed black fixtures with louvered glare snoots deliver minimal circulation lighting, allowing for safe navigation while keeping tank glass reflection-free.
