Over five days, LightFair will present nearly 300 exhibitors within five pavilions: the Design Pavilion, the Outdoor Pavilion, the Smart Pavilion, the New Exhibitor Pavilion and The Collective. Networking events and free programming on the trade-show floor will offer attendees opportunities to connect with industry thought leaders, take curated tours, learn from panel discussions and more. Located in the Design Pavilion, the Designery is a new networking hub featuring high-end lighting fixtures and solutions, as well as Design Synergist presentations led by lighting designers, architects, specifiers and interior designers. Catch free interactive sessions by Charles Stone (Fisher Marantz Stone), Dawn Hollingsworth (Darkhorse Lightworks), Lisa VanZee (Hartranft Lighting Design) and others.

The new Outdoor Exchange educational series in the Outdoor Pavilion offers interactive, expert-led sessions exploring outdoor lighting installations for private and public landscapes.

The Smart Pavilion’s new Tek Talk series provides expert-led discussions on topics related to smart lighting.

A space on the show floor reserved exclusively for manufacturers who are IALD, LIRC or IES Sustaining Members, the Collective offers an opportunity for attendees to explore products from select manufacturers and experience a show within the show.
Network, Learn and Grow
Choose from 44 sessions and over 130 CEUs at LightFair 2022, taking place from June 19 to 23 at the new state-of-the-art West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Conference programming spans five days and showcases up-to-date lighting education across five tracks.

ART + INSPIRATION
This track offers attendees the opportunity to learn how to turn inspiration into projects and products in courses such as “The Devil in the Details” with Rachel Fitzgerald, Stantec, and Katherine Stekr, HLB Lighting Design. In this hour-long course, guests will gain understanding of the necessary details included in design drawings, how to document successful installations and more.
DESIGN GUIDANCE + TOOLS
This track offers guests the opportunity to explore the latest in energy and building code changes, design metrics and more. In the hour-long course “Building Automation Integration: What You Need to Know” with Gary Meshberg, Digital Lumens, Inc., and C. Webster Marsh, Penumbra Controls, attendees will learn to identify the need for a Building Automation System (BAS) on a project and discuss integration of BAS needs with clients.
EVIDENCE-BASED DESIGN
This track offers participants the chance to learn about incorporating end-user data and techniques to achieve design goals in courses like “The. Advancement of LED Tunnel Lighting” with Michael Maltezos (left), Kenall Manufacturing Co., Kim Molloy, WSP USA, and Lionel Lutley (right), Mott MacDonald. In this three-hour long course, attendees will learn to define standards and methodologies of tunnel lighting design and understand the advancement of today’s LED technologies in tunnel systems.
EXPERIENCING LIGHT
This track allows light enthusiasts to delve into the influences light has on human and animal experiences with courses like the hour-long “Turtle Lighting: Practicality, Human Considerations and Aesthetics” with Ashley Beeler and Jeff Brown, Power Design Engineering. This course explores turtle lighting guidelines, methods of sky-glow reduction, 3D modeling and more.
TECHNOLOGY
This track offers guests the opportunity to keep up with the newest IoT lighting, design tools, software and more in courses such as “IoT Lighting to Improve Education Facilities” with Michael Lunn, Cooper Lighting Solutions. In this three-hour course, attendees will learn how proper application of daylighting in education creates improved learning environments and how white-tuning can be easily applied.
New Attendee Orientation and Tour
Tuesday, June 21, 9:30-11:30 am
Led by Carla Bukalski, GE Current, a Daintree company, and Lisa Reed, Envision Lighting Design, this lively orientation followed by a brief tour will introduce attendees to the trade-show floor, touching on both time management and navigation skills so you can make the most of your LightFair experience.
Mentorship Q+A
Thursday, June 23, 10:30-11:30 am
Mentors and emerging lighting professionals come together for a Mentorship Q+A moderated by Sam Koerbel, Lytei, in the Designery. Panel members will answer questions about being a mentor or mentee during LightFair’s first ever Mentorship Program, which began last year.
