John D. Bullough, FIES is Director of Transportation and Safety Lighting Programs at the Lighting Research Center, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He conducts research in human factors including mesopic vision, road lighting and traffic safety, advanced headlighting, pedestrian lighting, and disability and discomfort glare, and teaches in the graduate program in lighting at Rensselaer. John has written or co-written more than 450 papers and technical publications on lighting, almost 100 of those dealing with glare.
