ETC is now accepting applications to the 2023 Fred Foster Student Mentorship Program, which connects selected students with established industry professionals as they join the work force. In its 25th year, the program is rooted in ETC Founder Fred Foster’s passion for both lighting and mentorship; his vision was to encourage young talent by pairing them with influential mentors to guide them into their careers and beyond. Hosting both North American and International branches, the program will accept applications through April 7, 2023.
Eligible North American students are either in their final year of undergraduate study, or are second and third-year graduate students. Selected students from this region will attend a series of virtual events during the summer and meet an array of professionals working in various specialties of the industry.
Eligible international students are from outside the North American continent and are studying at the university level or demonstrate a keen interest in lighting and design through the submission of a CV.
Each student will be matched with at least one industry mentor; mentors are to provide guidance for the next year, and often continue to do so for far longer.
