Compliance Pilot Studies Webcast!
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is holding a no-cost webcast on August 17th, to discuss the kickoff of energy code compliance pilot studies within several U.S. states. These studies represent a dedicated DOE effort to help states achieve energy savings in commercial and residential buildings by focusing on the level of compliance and identifying areas needing reinforcement to enhance rates of compliance.
DOE's Building Energy Codes Program (BECP) has developed procedures and tools that states may use to measure and report compliance with their building energy codes. To test and improve these resources, and help states navigate their unique code compliance needs, BECP is funding and supporting these 10-month studies, in collaboration with the states and the five regional energy efficiency partnerships. This kickoff webcast will provide a detailed discussion of compliance measurement efforts.
This webcast is intended for all who will play a role in the pilot studies and/or further state energy code activities: building evaluators and inspectors, state and local energy personnel, contractors, members of the energy efficiency partnerships, and other interested parties are welcome to join us.
